I miss wine!
I really, really miss wine. A lot. I am fine giving up every other type of alcohol and even cutting back the caffeine, but I swear to you I am popping a bottle of champagne in the delivery room the second this thing is over.
I hate to burst your bubble but you can't drink alcohol until your done breast feeding. So if you're inclined to breast feed your baby, you will have many more months without wine.
Good luck finding that wet nurse! Even if you breastfeed, there's no problem have one glass of bubbly to celebrate the occasion. When I was pregnant with Brianna coffee made me nauseous (gasp!) and I gave up coffee (double-gasp!). The first thing I had after she was born was a Coke. Caffeine has never tasted as good as it did then.
Seriously, you can have wine. I'd highly advise against it. But a small, half glass, very occationally (like once), won't end the world, your baby will not end up with fetal alcohol poisioning. Or a sip or two of Matt's. I did say I'd advise against it though and I'll stick with that. And if they can give a mommy morphine or oxycodine after the c-section, then a bit of bubbly is nothing. Then once baby is older and nursing less, you can indulge more often. But stick to wine while you are nursing and try to partake when you won't be nursing within the hour or two.

Strandy, I'm going to chose to disregard that comment and instead hire a wet nurse.
